This episode featured a conversation with Howard "Ocho" Aaron, a 73-year-old powerlifter and cancer survivor. Howard shared his backstory, including his diagnosis with a rare intravascular B-cell lymphoma, which inspired his nickname "Ocho" due to being the eighth patient his oncologist treated for this cancer. He discussed his journey through chemotherapy, his return to powerlifting, and his world record achievements in the bench press. Howard emphasized the importance of mindset, strength training, and his mission to help others get stronger. He also mentioned his book, "Strength Training for Life," and his approach to coaching and training. The hosts, Josh and Lara, asked Howard about his training philosophy, handling self-critical lifters, and his advice for new gym-goers.
